Services available in the Protein Crystallization Laboratory

2. Experiments we can do upon request: Batch crystallization, Co-crystallization, Crystal soaks, Microbatch crystallization, Vapor Diffusion-Hanging Drop, Vapor-Diffusion-Sitting Drop.
3. The PCL uses a manual 96-well crystallization tray setup, sealed with ClearSeal tape. All screens are done in this format unless otherwise requested.
4. The PCL uses a manual 24-well crystallization tray setup for optimization and follow-up trials. The 24-well format is also generally used when pursuing conditions obtained from the literature, unless otherwise indicated. The wells are usually individually sealed with a combination of a sealant and a coverslip.
5. The PCL uses temperature-controlled incubators and cold storage units to maintain the temperature for all experiments.

The following charges for OU researchers have been approved by the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry PXL User's Group. Non-academic, non-profit organizations and academic institutions outside of OU will be charged these rates plus a 50% overhead charge. Questions about these charges should be directed to the lab manager (405) 325-1126. Under special circumstances, these fees may be waived upon approval of the Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.

Unless other prior arrangements are made, information about lab charges will be accumulated to the end of the current month and forwarded to the Chemistry & Biochemistry department's staff for preparation of invoices. Terms are included on the invoice.

At this time credit/debit cards are not accepted for payment.
